Call For Submissions:
CAMERALINKS 2008 - FOOTPRINT

CAMERALINKS, our annual non-competitive theme-based exhibition,
provides a unique opportunity for Elementary and Secondary School students from the Metro Toronto and surrounding area to exhibit their photographic artwork in a professional gallery.

The theme for CAMERALINKS 2008 is FOOTPRINT.
Students are encouraged to explore this theme with imagination!!
Teachers, help your students to think OUTSIDE the literal meaning of footprint and see how it communicates as a concept.
We are looking for work about impressions, what is left over, how we affect and leave residues on our planet, our home, our forests, our friends and family.
Some ideas/projects to think about:
- the ecological 'footprint' we leave on our planet. Photograph the positives: recycling, buying local, reusing, green energy or photograph the negatives: pollution, garbage, destruction, extinctions, extreme weather.
- the emotional ‘footprint’ we leave on the people in our lives, or they leave on ours. Memories, works, objects of the past.
- the literal marks and remnants that we leave behind as we move through our community and city.

How do you make a photo of this??
Show us!! Take photographs, make art!
