PORTRAIT FRAMES: COLLAGE & ASSEMBLAGE
Grades 5-8

In this workshop, students learn the techniques of collage and assemblage as they create three dimensional themed works inside a small wood stretcher 8" X 10", provided by the instructor. With the assistance of the instructor, each student with shoot a Polaroid action portrait to place creatively within their assembled collage in the frame. The collage may consist of small objects, and/or papers found in nature, cut from newspapers or magazines or simply found in the students' pockets.

Students will complete a scultural framed portrait assembled in relief.

Darkroom: not required

Instructor Fee: $75 + GST

Materials fee: approximately $6.50 per student

Maximum class size: 28 students

Location: At Your School

The school/students will need to supply:

* Minimum of 3 magazines per student

* Scissors - 1 per student

* Glue - 1 per 2 students

* Collected personal items or objects - each student
