Accumulation explores repetition and accumulation as it relates to my experience managing Diabetes. Since being diagnosed two years ago, I’ve become aware of the buildup of my medical waste. As my condition necessitates four injections and numerous blood tests daily, I have become overwhelmed with the accumulation resulting from the recurrence of these acts. In my imagery I juxtapose the by-products of these actions with the everyday detritus of rolled up dryer lint and a wooden post pierced with staples. Each of these elements speaks of actions repeated, residue accumulated, and the passage of things from one state to another.
