Leug Chi-Wo & Sara Chi Hang, (H.K. - Venice Version), 2001

Fusing daily life and artistic practice, artists Sara Chi-Hang Wong and Leung Chi-Wo represent the city from within, looking up toward the sky. For these artists, tasting the city isn’t just an expression – it’s an art form. Shooting pinhole photographs of local skies which are then used as templates for cookie cutters based on the contour of a city skyline, City Cookie is a collaboration which has taken the artists to the Venice Biennale, Shanghai Biennale, and the Queens Museum of Art, New York. Leung Chi-Wo is showing concurrently at LEE, Ka-sing Gallery, 993 Queen Street West. www.leekasing.ca
