Exploring the
theme of Le Pouvoir de L’Image (the Power of the Image) curator Martha
Langford conceived of an exhibition that would explore the power of landscape
in the collective imagination. Uniting the visions of three mature Quebec
artists who have developed highly personal visual languages around the
theme of landscape, Langford emphasizes the collaborative nature of their
process, emphasizing each artist’s individual response to the power
of the image as a life force.
