ON PROCESS AND PRACTICE

On Process and Practice presents new work created by the ten artists participating in G44's eight-week photo intensive course, Low Res. Through concentrated exploration of practice within this group setting, each artist produced a new body of work while developing their conceptual and professional practice. Low Res created an environment of collaborative exercises and interactive opportunities to critique and redefine each participant’s artistic approach to contemporary photography. The resulting exhibition is the result of an active conversation between peers and the work they have created in parallel over the span of the course. The dynamic relationship between independent process and collective image-making acted as a framework for the production of the works shown here. Elaborating on themes of identity, reflection and materiality, On Process and Practice is a conscientious look into personal perspective and perception.
