Photographing the empty spaces found within anonymous, institutional structures, my images examine feelings of isolation, loneliness, and absence. Common to any institutional building, these interiors and passageways are usually highly populated. Their vacancy reveals a bare, cold environment, poignant examples of the increasingly impersonal and detached spaces, which fill our modern world.
