Edwin Jager, Liquid into my Skin, installation detail

Working with text and images, Jager presents a multitude of slides arranged in grids within light boxes. Each piece, (one per vitrine) constitutes a different poem. From a distance, the pieces read as so many colour swatches, upon closer observation however, the texts and images are revealed. Carried both in the slide labels and embedded within the images, the text takes the form of conversations that weave through the multitude of images. They are dialogues between two people who struggle to understand one another.
