Call For Workshop Proposals
Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography is seeking new, dynamic & innovative workshop proposals that respond to contemporary photography through techniques and skill development.
WEEKEND Workshops
We are looking for new production and seminar workshops for our education program for artist in all stages of their career. These workshops can be a half day (3 hours), or a full day in both hands-on photographic processes and/or professional development for artists, writers and curators. Previous workshops have included Grant Writing, Ambrotype, Self-Publishing Photo Books, Studio Lighting, Advanced Photoshop, Basic Black and White and so on. Workshops take place in the gallery production facilities: wet darkroom, lighting studio, or in a digital lab.
Proposals must include:
- Workshop objectives/goals & itinerary.
- Detailed budget with materials list for the gallery and participants.
- Intended audience and level of participant experience needed (if applicable).
- Maximum class size (For darkroom based workshops Gallery 44 houses 10 teaching enlargers.
- Gallery 44 has laptops and digital cameras available for workshops).
- CD with five to ten images of work representing imagery for the proposed workshop. If possible, include five images of learners' work completed in workshops that you have instructed.
- An image list indicating name, title, year, medium and dimensions
- Curriculum vitae (Maximum 3 pages)
- 3 references with contact information
