Student work created in Person/Persona workshop
Through this session, students will engage in a dialogue about self-identity and self within society. Using basic digital cameras, writing and mixed media, the participants will create self-portraits and new personas. This workshop encourages students to raise their personal awareness by taking photographic images into deeper exploration of notions of identity, in an effort to create greater community awareness and accountability.
Darkroom: not required
Instructor Fee: $75 + GST
Materials fee: approximately $7 per student
Maximum class size: 30 students
Location: At Your School
The school/students will need to supply:
- Glue Sticks/White Glue
- Scissors
- Acrylic or tempura paint
- Paint Brushes
- Water containers
- Paint mixing containers
- Construction papers (various colors)
- Drawing/coloring/illustrating supplies - crayons, pencil crayons, markers.
- Possible access to a photocopy machine
