Using Gallery 44’s Fletcher 2100 mat cutter, participants will learn how to cut mats for their photographs with precision.  Instructor, Marco Buonocore will show participants the principals and mathematics involved in mat cutting, as well as an introduction to framing a matted photograph.

There will be a discussion on the materials and tools available, and how best to use them to mat and frame a photograph that is archival. By the end of the workshop, participants will have at least one image properly matted and assembled in a frame.

Participants should bring at least one 8”x10” or smaller photograph to mat, and an appropriate sized frame to put it in.  If time allows, more than one image can be framed.

* Please note - this workshop is free and for Gallery 44 members only. Spots are limited so please register early *
