Kotama Bouabane, President
Kotama is a Laotian born Canadian artist, who currently holds positions in the photography departments at OCADU and York University. As Board President, Kotama serves as chair of the Human Resources Committee and sits on the Governance and Nominating Committee.
Kendra Ainsworth, Treasurer
Kendra is an independent writer, curator and arts worker based currently based in tkaronto, where she is a settler on treaty 13 territory. Her curatorial, interpretive planning, and public arts work has been presented at the Art Gallery of Mississauga, the Art Gallery of Burlington, the Gardiner Museum, the Art Gallery of Ontario, and as part of Nuit Blanche Toronto. As a Board-elected community representative, Kendra serves as Treasurer and chairs the Finance Committee.
Brian St. Denis, Secretary
Brian is an arts administrator and photographer. He has been the Festival Coordinator of the CONTACT Photography Festival since 2015. Brian is the Board Secretary and serves on the Special Events and Fundraising Committee, and the Finance Committee.
sarah is a tkaronto-based photographer with a background in French Language, Literature and Gender Studies. She has served on G44’s Membership and Facilities Committee since 2016 and has organized membership outreach activities such as Safelight, and G44’s participation in the Edition Book Fair in 2018 and 2019. sarah serves as Board Representative to the Membership and Facilities committee.
Alexandra is a Caribbean-Canadian multi-disciplinary photo-based artist. She is the Director of Unpack Studio Art Projects, which currently runs an international art residency in Havana, Cuba. Alex serves as Board Representative to the Special Events and Fundraising Committee.
Jihee Min is a Korean-Canadian multidisciplinary artist based in Toronto. She was formerly G44’s Member artist-in-residence in 2016, and has since served on G44’s Education and Community Outreach Committee. As a Board Member, Jihee serves as Board Representative to the Exhibitions Programming Committee.
Jordan Nahmias is both a photographer and a lawyer. He is a partner with the firm Goldenberg Nahmias where his practice focuses on entertainment and corporate matters with an emphasis on film, television and digital media production in both live action and animation. As a Board Member, Jordan serves on the Human Resources Committee, and chairs the Governance and Nominating Committee.
David is an emerging lens-based artist. He also has in-depth experience in corporate governance and strategic planning. Over the last 20 years, David held progressive roles, including Acting President and CEO at Technical Standards and Safety Authority, and he is a Chartered Director through The Directors College (2020). As a Board member, David sits on the Governance and Nominating Committee and the Finance Committee.
Shellie Zhang is a multidisciplinary artist based in Tkaronto/Toronto. As a Board-elected community representative, she serves as the Board Representative to the Education and Community Outreach Committee and G44’s new Access and Inclusive Action Committee. Shellie currently works at OCAD University.
