Taking place outdoors on the Toronto Islands, this workshop will introduce the experimental processes of lumen printing, phytograms, and plant-based chemigrams. Participants will explore the reaction between silver-gelatin photographic papers and organic materials, and will learn how to expose, manipulate and process their own cameraless photographs. Resources will be provided to enable further independent exploration.
No previous experience is required. All materials will be provided, but participants are welcome to bring any expired or fogged photo papers they may have.
Please e-mail lfatemi@gallery44.org with any questions you may have.
