In this workshop, participants will learn how to expand their material range by exploring alternative media options and printing techniques. Using non-traditional photographic papers, artist Steven Beckly will provide an overview of the process and materials involved in creating prints on tissue, foil, cellophane and handmade paper. Sharing numerous examples, Beckly will discuss the advantages and challenges of this experimental method of image-making. Participants can bring images and materials for experimentation and feedback in a supportive group environment.
