A great introduction to darkroom printing or a refresher course for anyone who has not been in the darkroom for a while, this workshop will cover the necessary skills for printing in a traditional wet black-and-white darkroom with instructor Camille Rojas. Participants will learn the fundamentals of black-and-white printing, including darkroom chemistry setup and safety, enlarger use, creating test prints and contact sheets, as well as advanced techniques such as dodging and burning and the use of filters to enhance images and create exhibition-ready prints.
Participants should bring processed black-and-white negatives. All other materials will be provided.
