Cecilia was born in the summer of ‘82 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She began her studies in photography at the age of 19. At the age of 22, she joined the PH15 Foundation’s team as a technician and teacher. In parallel, she takes photography classes with artist: Alberto Goldenstein, Augusto Zanela, Fabiana Barreda and Julieta Escardó.Over the years, she participated and exhbiitied her photographs in various venues such as the Bienal Arte x Arte (Biennale of Art by Art), Bienal Bahia Blanca (Biennale of White Bahia), Salón Nacional (National Salón), Galería Big Sur (Big Sur Gallery), and Festival de la Luz (Festival of Light), etc.She is a co-founder of M.A.F.I.A (Moviemiento Agentino de Fotografos Independientes Autoconvocados - The Movement of Independent and self-assigned Argentine Photographers). In photography as in her everyday life, she is interested in addressing issues pertaining to what is in her proximity, what provokes emotion and affect. Through her work she also investigates what is visceral rather than what is rational and objective in order to capture the exterior and visual demonstrations of what exists in the interior.
