driver explores ideas of control and deliberation through mimicking hand gestures that assume driving positions. The gestures themselves are demonstrative of textbook style poses that indicate “proper form.” The hands are outstretched, reaching towards the sky, towards nothing in particular except the infinite possibilities that may be held by and navigated through them. These driving hands will move through space, on various paths and arrive at various destinations. They are the conduit between point a and b; the subject and that which is actively pursued. They balance between speed and maintaining control and direction.
