We live in a porous world, in porous bodies. The possibility of being breached, infected, and losing body integrity is always present. BioFiction is a series of digital images based on the juxtaposition of boxed scientific and medical objects with fictional specimens. Dissolving the boundaries between organic and inorganic, the animate and inanimate, the real and the manufactured, these objects become images of a synthesized fictional biological narrative, ultimately converging photographically as a matrix disease - infection as architecture.
