This series of images has been inspired by my fascination and love of the desert and desolate spaces.
My pictures are based on an on going project over the past four years. When I first purchased my truck I decided to pack up all my camera gear and do a big road trip to the south west. Each year I go back to explore a new area or region. My images include my travels through Nebraska, iowa, Arizona, Utah and Nevada.
I shoot both with film and digital. My passion is film. I use Leica 35mm, Fuji 120mm, and Sony digital.
I am hoping to inspire others to see the dynamic beauty in these unusual, vast open spaces. The complete raw and fierce beauty that this rough terrain holds. The geological formations are truly inspiring. One feels incredibly humble and small when standing alone on an empty highway, desert or mountain plain.
