Family Album is a personal journey in art making with a visit to the past through old family photos and memorabilia. I was inspired by a rich family history; one that will die out and I wanted to remember that history by reimagining these images.
It is about the passing of time, being in the present while looking to the future. This is the second series of images.
Sandy Middleton is a Canadian photographer and artist whose practice focuses mainly on travel, street photography and the natural landscape. She works in a variety of mediums from TTV, Polaroid, film, digital and Encaustic painting. She holds a BA in Photography from Ryerson University. Her fine art is in many private collections in Canada and the US and has shown her work in galleries and shows throughout Ontario.
