For the past few years, my work has explored the idea of impermanence – everything flows, nothing stands still. Life is constant change – it keeps happening to us. How do we let go of our endless pursuit of permanence and order? How do we allow ourselves to see and feel the goodness of what is right in front of us?
I view the world not through a filter, but as it is – brutal and beautiful and brutally beautiful. I photograph place and landscape beneath endlessly shifting skies. In Insta-endless, I will turn my eye to the city skyscape and consider the connection between the urban space with its engineered constructions against the backdrop of the natural landscape. I will be experimenting with Polaroid film and Polaroid enlargements to explore this connection.
