There to Here started last spring with a trip to my hometown of Edmonton, where so much had changed in the ten years since I moved. My family had headed West to Victoria, and my friends had spread out across the country - starting careers, getting married, buying homes, having kids. We'd all grown up, but separately, and in different ways. I realized that my nostalgic ideas about friends, family and home didn't square with the people I was catching up with or the place I'd come back to. These portraits are my reintroduction into the lives of the people I grew up with, documents of the choices we make getting from There to Here.
