OUTREACH is G44’s award-winning photography program that provides youth from underserved communities throughout the GTA with a series of hands-on workshops and discussions that explore the visual power of images.
The 2023 program featured in person workshops, concluding with this exhibition, Moving Horizons, celebrating the creative accomplishments of participating youth from:
- ENAGB Youth Agency
- The 519
- Nia Centre for the Arts
- The Remix Project
- Miles Nadal Jewish Community Centre (Disability/Visibility Photography Project)
Annually Gallery 44 awards two participants from the OUTREACH program the EQ Bank Award. Recipients are awarded based on their unique approach to photography, commitment to continuing their art practice and interest in experimenting with digital image practices.One participant from the OUTREACH program will also be awarded the TIW x G44 Award sponsored by Toronto Image Works and Gallery 44. Award winners are nominated by instructors and selected by a jury and receive a complimentary membership to Gallery 44 and one-on-one mentorship.
