Bio
Heather Fulton (b. 1989, Canada) is a photo-based artist practicing out of Toronto, Ontario. Her practice is rooted in analog photography, including historical and experimental photographic processes. Heather's work explores the vulnerability of memory and the fragility of nostalgia, while dissecting and challenging traditional notions of the archive.
Her current work sheds light on identity, origin, and genetic vs. non-genetic histories, and the ways in which they survive the passage of time and breach generational lines.
Heather specializes in cyanotypes, wet plate collodion, silver gelatin printing, and non-toxic film development. Heather's background includes teaching and workshop facilitation experience. Individual and group lessons are available.
