Bio
Lesia Miga’s artistic practice explores the body as an archive that communicates and performs presence and absence. Her work has emerged from personal experiences with the body and death, and her research can take the form of discussions, rituals, and lived experiences. She has worked with a variety of mediums including; analog and digital photography, videography, sculpture, performance, and printmaking.
Lesia is the recipient of a BFA in Photography from the Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCADU), and has exhibited her work internationally at the Letter Off Festival (Slovakia), the Osaka University of Arts (Japan), and within Canadian venues such as Knot Project Space, Gallery 44, Open Gallery, Artscape Youngplace, Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival, and Ada Slaight Gallery.
