Bio
Pedro Giunti (b. 1989, São Paulo) is a photographer based in Tkarón:to/Toronto. From the tension between interiority and the urban environment, Pedro's body of work draws on lived experience to examine identity, displacement, and the complexities of belonging. Autoethnographic in method, his practice stems from his ancestry—italian, black, indigenous—and a lineage of migrations, including his own. Pedro holds a bachelor's in architecture and urban planning (University of São Paulo), works in affordable housing development in Toronto (CreateTO), and volunteers with the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) mentoring other newcomers.
