Bio
“I’ve had my work blessed by a priest and installed in a confessional.”
Richard is currently exploring reflective and refractive materials and unusual lighting sources, factoring in time and chance to produce images and video that he refers to as “pulse synchronicity’ - a term passed to him from his father.
He's participated in public art experiences The Last Days of Honest Ed’s, in/Future at Ontario Place, and the 10x10 Photography Project.
Richard is known in some circles for capturing the spirit of the Twin Peaks Festival and his photos of participants and actors from the David Lynch tv series and film remain in circulation online.
He has worked with object-based art constructing shrines, totems and talismans in Victoria, BC, and it is there where some of his work was purchased, and then blessed, by a priest. His video work has been installed in a confessional in Montreal.
