Bio
Tobi Asmoucha is a freelance photographer based out of Toronto. Tobi’s documentary images exploring themes of community and the rituals that bind them, have received a Gold National Magazine Award and many nominations, as well as Ontario Arts Council, and Toronto Jewish Arts Council grants. Along with her photographic practice Asmoucha teaches photography at Centennial College and Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography, as well as an artist in the schools. Currently Tobi Asmoucha documentary photographic work is part of collections at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, Jewish Museum Berlin, and the Canadian War Museum.
