Darkroom Club provides low-cost darkroom sessions to youth aged 13–19 throughout the school year to learn new skills and produce artistic projects with the support of an experienced instructor.
Sessions are self-directed, with an instructor present to assist and answer questions.

Instructors

Tobi Asmoucha is a photographer based in Toronto, exploring themes of community and the rituals that bind them. This work is held in collections at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art, Jewish Museum Berlin, and the Canadian War Museum. She has been recognized with a Gold National Magazine Award, along with Julia Margaret Cameron Awards in the Human Rights and Street Photography categories. Currently, Asmoucha teaches and leads workshops at various institutions, such as Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography and Centennial College.

Jackson Bailey (they/them) is a lens-based artist and educator based in Tkaronto. Working across analog and experimental photography, printmaking, installation, video, and fibre-based mediums, their practice explores themes of grief, resistance, survival, and healing. As an agender artist living with disabilities, Jackson is committed to disrupting binary norms and creating accessible, care-centred environments for trans and gender-diverse creative expression. Their work has been exhibited across Canada, the U.S., and Europe.
