Gallery 44 Members are invited to submit work the annual member-run exhibition presenting a non-juried survey of artwork created by Gallery 44 members in the past year. The exhibition will take place in the Main Gallery from July 19 – August 2, 2024 and will be curated by G44 member Shaney Herrmann. All members are encouraged to submit!
You may submit a maximum of 3 works for consideration by completing the online form for each work. At least one image from each member who applies will be included in the show. We reserve the right to ask for alternative sizes and/or images.
Submitted works should be produced after Jan 1, 2023.
Submissions are due Friday, May 31 at 11:59PM.
Selection confirmed June 14.
Work must be delivered ready to hang by Friday, July 5 at 5:00PM.
Opening Reception Friday July 19, 6:00 – 8:00 PM!
Q & A
Q: I am a member and would like to submit to the call. I have no idea what I’m doing, I’ve never really done this before! How do I start?
A: There’s always a first time for everything and this is a good place to start if you’ve not exhibited before. As for the submission, all the required information is in the call and submission form. We encourage you to be brave and submit whatever you'd like to show！
Once you have a few pieces, pick your top few photos (max of 3) and submit them. The number of photos you submit does not affect how many we select — we look at the whole show and every work in curation. We will select at least 1 piece from everyone who submits.
Once the work is selected, you need to print, frame and deliver the piece to Gallery 44 by July 5, 2024.
Q: is there a size requirement for the pictures?
A: All sizes are acceptable, but we may ask for a smaller print. If you want advice on printing specs or what size your digital image files can support email [email protected].
Q: Are there rules about framing / mounting?
A: Work must be supplied ready to hang. Our preference is for framed work with D-rings. Professionally mounted work with hanging hardware is acceptable. If you are planning on installing using an alternative method please include this information in your submission. Loose prints are not accepted.
Q: Can I submit a piece that I recently exhibited? Or is it better to submit work I haven't already shown?
A: That's completely up to you. There is no restriction on exhibition history of the work, so long as it's been produced after Jan 1, 2023. This is also a chance to show new work should you choose to do so. If you are not sure, feel free to submit both!
