Gallery 44 Centre for Contemporary Photography offers FREE guided class tours that provide opportunities for students of all ages to engage with image-based contemporary art and photography. Class tours can be tailored and combined to meet the specific needs of each student group.
Through exhibition tours, students gain experience reading and interpreting visual materials and a deeper understanding of the conceptual themes within the exhibitions. For more information or to book a class tour of the exhibitions, please contact Sameen Mahboubi, Curator of Exhibitions.
Through production facilities tours, students gain a deeper experiential understanding of the artistic process of production—in one of the city's only publicly accessible darkrooms—as well as the materials and tools used in photography-based practices. For more information or to book a class tour of the production facilities, please contact Heather Fulton, Head of Membership and Facilities.
From February 12 – 20, 2027, elementary and secondary school groups are encouraged to book a class tour of CameraLinks. CameraLinks is Gallery 44’s annual non-competitive, theme-based exhibition for elementary and secondary school students from Southern Ontario. For more information on how your class can participate in CameraLinks or to book a class tour of the exhibition, please contact Lelia Fatemi, Curator of Education and Community Outreach.
